I'm looking for a 55 gallon with side panels that aren't tempered and can be drilled. It doesn't have to be perfect. I figure someone has one that's lying around. There may be a sticker on the underside that says whether the glass is tempered. If the sticker says that just the bottom panel...
I got a really large torch from Falconut a couple months ago and it's already got a about a dozen new heads pushing up. I had to take off a few pieces so it wouldn't sting it's neighbor.
There are three, 5 heads, 7 heads and 8 heads. They're about 6 inches long and 6+ inches wide when...
Here's a video of our bedroom tank build in progress. Just have to do the finish carpentry for the canopies, wall and molding. In the living room we just started upgrading to a larger tank. When that's done we'll move the larger fish and corals all up one tank size. And we'll add a pump in...
From what I can tell, it's dimensions are 4 feet long, 16" wide, and 6 feet tall. With stand. I make that to be 230 gallons. Pretty top heavy.

I went to the Aquarium Center today. Relative to my experience that place is very expensive. I don't see myself buying anything there. In my estimation the livestock and drygoods run about 35% higher than the Hidden Reef. Now I understand where the South Jersey folks are saying they don't...
I have a large seahorse picked up in a trade. It's a male, erectus, about 5 inches long. I don't have the means to keep him long term so am looking to rehome him. I'll trade for almost anything, livestock, inverts, etc. He's very spirited and swims around a lot and eats frozen Mysis...
I just lost the ballast over a fuge, and the endcaps are pretty bad, so I'm looking for a replacement. If anyone has any old power compact fixture or retrofit please PM. Thanks!! Dave
I'm a bit low on live rock for the new tank I'm setting up. If anyone in the South Jersey/Philly area has Pacific rock, like Indonesian or Fiji that they can part with, please PM me.
Thanks!! Dave
By the helpfulness of Hockeynut I'm setting up another tank, and am need of an electronic MH ballas for a SE 175 or 250 watt. I have a reflector with a wired out mogul base, so am looking for a ballast with a plug if possible. I figure with folks converting to LED there may be some lying...
By the help of Raffle King, Falconut, Daniel and Spidey to fill out the corals in the bottom tank. And a sand bed seeding contribution by FatOldSun.
What a great wife, putting up with a six month double tank build in our bedroom, in the nook next to the fireplace that was oh so almost perfect...
I could really use either a drilled 55 gallon or 75 gallon. Doesn't even need an overflow, just as long as there's a hole in it. Preferably a hole in one of the side panels. I know it's rare to get a factory 55 gallon drilled in the bottom cause those are special order, but that would work...
I have two of these tanks leftover from when my fuge system was bigger. If you have your sump system in the basement, I implore you to add one or two of these inline with the sump to increase you're overall water volume - and throw live rock in them as you have the opportunity to acquire it...
He's a real puppy dog - I think he/she was an excavator in a past life b/c moving rocks back and forth is the main recreation. 250 watt 14k metal halides and a VHO actinic.
