With nopox the bacteria is all over the tank. I see a thick film of bacteria under a piece of flat rock where there is not a lot of flow.

I use the same recipe and I know I got it from Reefcentral. It works very well for me. I have cyano sometimes but it's not a big issue for me. Otherwise tank is thriving.

I dosed reefroid before and didn't see a difference. I guess my corals are getting enough food from fish food and poop.

Maybe add some live rocks to increase bio diversity since you started with dry rocks? I don't think water is the problem. When I setup my frag tank there was a big algae outbreak even though it's connected to the same sump as the DT. I think sunny had the same thing happened to his frag tank.

Thanks folks. Keeping it steady. I use MH on my frag tank. One month in the experimental SPS frags are not doing well. No PE when the light is on. Bubble tip still love it though, almost 50% bigger. The DT pictured has T5 hybrid.

This applies to SPS. Epoxy then a dab of super glow on one side. Stick the coral into the glue and epoxy. A dab of super glue on the other side and press onto the rock. Superglue gel works better but not necessary.

They grow a lot faster when you not looking at them :)
