This is my basement tank. It's a softies type of tank. I am making that tank more like a frag tank so most of the rocks will be removed. The angels like rock caves and will not do very well in a frag tank setting.
Going in a different direction so have a few fish for sale. Serious inquiries only please pm phone number for pictures. All fish are healthy and plumb.
1. orange spotted filefish. I have had this fish for about a year. A medium-sized female. Eats flakes (only one kind and will include), hikari...
Jeremy if we know the answer to your question we'd all have the most beautiful tanks. However many tank are not even well established after one year and those do have some success have problems quite frequently, sometimes even tank crashes!
As you mentioned our tanks are ecosystems. These...
You will probably get a lot of answers. I have limited experience having used only two different ones. And I am partial to the skimz currently running on my tank. Maybe I just haven't used a better one yet. One thing I would say is a separate water level adjustment is very useful. This feature...

James, If you want to do something real simple you can just use your canister for now. I would keep the bio-load low, like a pair of clowns and some micro fish. No angels. Keep some macro algae in the tank, like dragon breathe and caulerpa. Maybe cover 25% of the tank with macros. 10% bi-weekly...
I installed this. It's exactly the same as the web version. However I can use touch to login which is the only problem I had with the web version, having to login all the time.
I am surprised there is no android version because a lot of people use Amazon fire as a display.
Lesson learned here. Alk was increased from 7 to 9 over two weeks. Lots of ppl run their tank @10+ so I thought no big deal. Within days alk intake shot up the burned tips. I had BP at the time I must had absolutely zero nitrate. I didn't know I had to dose nitrate and obviously feeding a lot...
Last year, around august, there was an intentional alk spike, to see if corals would grow faster. The result was not good. I had to cut most them down to the base in an attempt to save them. These encrusted bases have grown back. The most stubborn one, a deep water fantasia efflo (last pic)...
