At 2 inches and already black in color you may have chosen a fish that was rising in the food chain as Qwik suggested. There is going to be some scuffle and some chasing. You may find things settle down in a day or three.

T5s might be good for 12-14 but PCs should be replaced after 5mo.

You also need to change the bulbs VERY frequently. When that color spectrum changes you won't notice it but your tank will. Every 5-6 months tops.

Dave, while this is interesting from a whole house perspective, our meetings are geared towards reef related items. Until we see verifiable test results that give us zero TDS water I'm not inclined to have a presentation at a meeting.
