You won't get any arguments from me! I've used them reverse flow, standard flow and have pulled the pumps and called it a plenum. Every tank worked!

See, what I do like about this approach is the large open area with a black background really shows off large colorful fish like those tangs! ;)

A picture would be helpful. If you have the room I would move it down onto the sandbed in an area of low to moderate flow. Don't try to feed everyday, but do try to give it something meatier like small whole krill of a chunk of silverside.
