I use aquatic log and aquarium note 2 for different tanks. Aquarium note is a bit more customizable. Doesn't have phosphate as a default parameter to check but easy enough to add.

I have a big ball of chaeto growing in a separate tank with literally no coral or fish in it. I used to run a refugium but felt it was eating my nutrients way too fast. I would gladly give baseball sized piece if anyone needs it. Located in Howell.

Not just frogspawn...ultra aqua cultured octospawn. He will be fine to keep this.

lol I've got a few people asking about it and the only thing I can say is its about as aqua cultured as it comes. It was in a friends tank for 5 years and now mine for about a year. His tank was running 3.3 ALK and it grew a huge colony lol

I keep mine filled with RO water after use to prevent the need to dry them out. I empty then fill half way with salt water from test tank shake it then empty that out. Ready to go.

Stability is key... i try and keep my alk from swinging more than .3 dkh a day and its made a huge difference.

really? I find they are one of the easiest SPS. As long as my alk isn't all over the place and I have calcium they are happy.

I would agree with Salted. Do a small change maybe 5g to see what your alk goes up to and maybe run some GSO to drop the PO4 down a bit. However be careful with GSOas it does strip alk as well.

You know it's very weird.. but I have a blue spot watchman goby who is paired with a pistol shrimp. He NEVER leaves the sandbed ever. I had a big alk swing and lost the pistol shrimp... the next week the Goby was ALL over the tank including at the surface. I replaced the Pistol Shrimp and once...

100 percent agree..brs dosers with wifi plugs are fantastic. That is what I use for one of my tanks.

Rjmul is correct it's most likely iron oxidation from the calcium within all for reef. Nothing to worry about as this is normal.
