It all depends on the thickness of your glass too. Friend of mine does acrylic work and is working on magnetic racks and having tons of trouble finding one's that work on redsea tanks. I just hang mine into my overflow so I don't have to use suction cups.
I've dosed potassium nitrate before but just curious why phosphates? I've always just done some reef roids maybe some polyplabs booster and a day or two of only pellet food and usually does the trick.
I figured I would add a few more things I have available if anyone is interested.
Beauty and the Beast 25$
Purple hearts 25$
Scrambled eggs/Nirvana combo 20$
Fire and ice 15$
Sunkist bounce almost half dollar size 100$
Mohawks 20$ ( this is 2 frags each have maybe 10 or 15 polpys)...
I personally use 4xATI Blue Plus but that is partially because when I bought it they were already installed ;). I would be interested to hear other perspectives as well.
Hi all,
Just cut up a huge green polyp toadstool and have plenty available. Located in Howell.
Also have a green yuma rock I can either frag up or sell the whole thing at a cheap price.
Toadstools are decent size chunks 15$ each
Green yumas I can do 15$ each for them or 150 if you want the...
Coraline is so weird, I have a tank that is about 1 year old and certain parts of the tank I can't keep the coraline off of it, but as Maximus just mentioned... running 2xhydra 26s and 4 x t5s so maybe that is why.
Yeah tell me about it, something is always unhappy. I have some SPS at the top that needs the flow so I have to keep it higher flow up there but hammers which just like to bounce end up getting blown around. It's one of the things I've never been able to accomplish as of yet is that nice...
The problem with high phosphates and low nitrates is that your tank is out of balance. I had this issue a few months back and lost a TON of color in a lot of my coral. They need to be balanced otherwise things won't grow as you want them. Definitely get someone to help you run a test on both and...
Beautiful tank. I have been attempting to get a setup going like yours with my Euphyllia but I end up with too much flow in certain areas so half of it ends up on frag racks
I was always so worried about putting a magic eraser in just incase it had some form of chemical. I am sure it was just my paranoia but its the same reason I hate filter socks, possible bleach in the tank worries me but has never caused a problem.
