I pulled my flame angel and my long nose hawkfish this week in an effort to see if they are the reason for my lack of daytime polyp extension. i know the hawkfish doesn't pick but he does perch on the corals and maybe it is annoying them. its to bad it is one of my favorite fish i guess now...

I also pulled my flame this week it is in the sump to see if there is any difference in my polyp extension.

The tank looks great. I try to keep encrusting corals away from branching coral. I don’t worry about putting corals of different types in close proximity of one another as long as I go in knowing there normal growth patterns and my willingness to (Whack) them down when they get close enough...

Why not put it in a 3 gallon bucket with a battery air pump they are cheap. Used to keep bait alive. And a power inverter in the car with a cheap o pre set tiny heater this way you can absolutely regulate the temp. Totally safe that way for sure

That same week I cut a bounce in half both halves healed completely. I also cut a orange mushroom in half (don’t know the name) also healed completely. I’ll try and get a couple pics tonight. Didn’t do the jawbreaker I wanted to wait till it got a bit bigger.

Run the drill bit on that edge to clean it up if it bothers you or dremmell it. It’s probably fine but if you are not happy clean it up a bit. Do it slow and you should be ok. I would probably leave it if the bulkhead goes in easy, job done!
