i got my rbta from a member here last year...dang it i can't remember who. My original one from jrwohler died because of hurricane sandy. You will have to post up some pics when the tank is set up. Sounds cool.

At the museum they had some pretty amazing replicas of the ships involved:

Although they gave their lives - the battleship is a reef underneath. I took these from the memorial....I believe that's a moorish idol.

Also visited the Punchbowl - which is second only to Arlington National in terms of size. They had a lot of these plaques dedicated to our fallen.

I had the honor of visiting the memorial last month. The oil still leaks from the hull - which they call the tears of the USS Arizona.

Before saltwater - we had a nice sized silver arrowana that would torpedo itself out of the tank when eating or just for fun apparently. So I can fully appreciate the "yelling/screaming" lefkonj is talking about lol.

just minor point - clowns do not host anemones - it's the other way around. Rock anemone do not host any clownfish since the former is from the atlantic and the latter is from the pacific =) Odds are the rock anemones will attempt to eat clownfish. there are exceptions for sure. BTAs...

also i've had success wrapping algae with a small piece of LR (or i guess for a QT you could try a pvc). I had a piece on a clip and the tang ignored it.

the only way a system is "too sterile" would be if you just dumped the fish in with no bacteria to support the fish. Good luck with the chevron - beautiful fish.

That was a hilarious read. Nerites are inter-tidal species - not very well suited for our tanks - but they get sold in those clean up crews....i got em myself (shrugs) - most stay in because of the lip on my tank but i guess if you lack that, you'll get them on your floor. Quite a few ended up...

How about just a large plastic bucket...then stick your head in Sunny's tank or something? LOL.

i'm not familiar with personal experience on the koralias - but i'd think you could do the "aim powerheads to the middle" to generate chaotic flow. Not sure if i'd call it random. Random would be like taking a power head and suspending it and letting it go around in 360 however it wants. That...
