Decided to try and make a carboy into a n tank today. I took a 5 gallon carboy and with a demell with a diamond wheel I cut the top off. I plan on a small canister filter and some sort of pendant light. I want to keep it simple. The only thing I really don’t want to skimp on is the ato...

    Light Recommendation

If it is a really small amount of water evaporation shouldn’t be To bad and if you don’t want to set a RO/DI you can use distilled water it’s cheap and easy to find. there are ro/di units out there that are cheap and will pay for themselves easily I would try and find one maybe used.

Algae scrubber who uses one and why

Looks good Dave,I thought about using display boxes also but opted to just buy the acrylic. I was also worried about it warping. Here’s what I bought. At Lowe’s for 26.00 per sheet it’s 18”x24” need 1-1/2 sheets to build it. its 1/4” thick. what size bulkheads are you going to use?
