You can probably apply the same to your sump. Just see it as doing a large water change.

It depends, if the corals are under water and you have water movement, then a few hours and you should be ok. Assuming the tank doesn't get too cold/too hot

My power is out, right now I'm using a fish bubbler to keep waters surface agitated.
