I've had this tank for a few years and seen it go from a couple nice planted tank set ups to a cute little reef. I recently got a hold of a RSM130D in decent shape and decided to try out a Radion for the first time. So it's time to say goodbye.
Tank and stand are standard but the canopy I made...
@radiata I went by sea level yesterday to pick up an xr15 and those new tanks look real nice. So much more nice piece to oogle and tempt the wallet... but the light was enough for that day haha
I'm in the RC club. Sea Level sells those at $45 for the 200g box. Before things went crazy they were getting ready to set up a few more coral systems which Warren, the owner, said would be for more high end stuff. I have my fingers crossed they might be up and running when they open for viewing...
I'm right there with people tired of being stuck home. This upcoming week was supposed to be a week of camping at the beach at Assategue in MD but ironically it will be my first week trying to get to work on a more regular schedule.
@Paulie 069 It was a gorgeous day to walk around the beach for a while. That's always a great time regardless of catching a monster bass, a tiny bluefish, or absolutely nothing.
It was pretty cool meeting you today too. Your set up and seahorses were pretty fun to look at. I hope everything is acclimating well for you. It'll be cool to see how much your tank fills in by the time this covid stuff is done.
Sadly I caught the skunk at the beach today though.
I really like that tank at Manhattan aquariums too. They have some pretty cool stuff there but sadly with a slight NYC hike haha
Would it be possible to adjust the to flowing in a manner to keep the feelers flowing generally away from the other corals?
Have a fair amount of work coming this Saturday when I move my tanks to a new apartment. Gonna spend friday setting up a couple holding tank in the new apartment along with moving some stuff. I was hoping to get a hold of a 90 or 120 with a stand before then but couldn't find one. So now back to...
I've always wanted a first generation Pontiac firebird (67-69) I saw one for the first time in Texas when I was a kid moving to the US from Mexico and, without even knowing what it was at the time, have had my heart set on it ever since.
On Melevs reef he uses a product called Micro Algea Grow to provide the nutrients the phytoplankton needs. I would assume that using skimmate should also result in providing all the nutrients to drive growth. How well is an answer you would get trying it...
The vast majority of it's 'food' is obtained via photosynthesis. Species in the genus are such an efficient photosynthetic machines that there are people investigating the potential to use some species, like oculata, for biodiesel production...
