It's going to be hard to find a place now in NJ that sells them cause the place needs to have a license that cost a couple 1000 dollars to sell them to make only a couple hundred dollars a year selling them.. But best of luck with your search..
Hello there and welcome!
I am not going to get all technical on you as it might deter you from this wonderful hobby. Most of us spend about 100 dollars a gallon on our tanks to get them where we want them. So figure that out. What you need is to get all the little items in your arsenal first...
Thanks to everyone that replied.. I had to get rid of the harlequin as my Green Banded Goby was trying to have him for desert after eating my peppermint shrimp.. Thanks!
Hello there,
Well today I figured out what happened to my peppermint shrimp. It was about to happen to my harlequin. Seems like the Green Banded Goby and shrimp don't get along. The Goby while I watched pulled out 2 legs and broke 1 claw. Granted they will grow back since I took him out of the...
Interesting information.. So Phyl you purchase the CC and then you cut off a leg and then you freeze the rest. Does the harlequin eat the entire leg or just the feet? If just the feet the only worry I have is him pulling the leg some place I can't get to it and it just festering in the water...

That is a damn nice tank.. Congratulation on the startup. Looks Saweeeeeeeeet! Any idea at this point of total costs to date? Just curious for those considering a nano this size and what it takes. Can't wait to see more progress photos.. Keep up the great job!
Based on my reading it seems pretty common that most bulbs lose 25% of their light in the first 3 - 5 months. After 6 months the decline of light up to one year is only another 6%, so there is no reason to change out your bulb after 6 months like people like to tell you. However, If you do the...
Wow, and not one email from NJRC telling me anyone responded. Weird...
I just figured it is easier to put in the zip code cause when you go to get directions for distance it will show you exactly where you need to go. Try putting in something like your address to middletown. It will show 3...
Hello MikeM.
Where are you located since it seems you are the only one that has any available to me. I appreciate your help and your time. I would like to get these asap if that is ok with you. Thanks again for the offer, looks like I am going to have to take you up on it. Appreciate your help...
Hello There,
Not sure how to go about this.. Pay ya, Thank ya, whatever it is worth to you.. I was wondering if anyone in my local area of 07092 could possible give me like 5-10 asterina stars for my tank. All you have to do is suck them up with a turkey baster or large pipet and put them in a...
Hello All,
It is time for me to change my Halide bulb once again. However, I am unsure if I should go with 14k Phoenix ( which I have now and like ) or if I should go with 20k Ushio to bring out the colors. I need some people to chime in here and tell me if they have really seen a drop in...
Damn Dude.. That looks awesome! Can't wait to see this operational. Unreal.. Glad it is going so well over there, looks beautiful! Call me if you need me!
I don't live to far from you Reef. If you need help just let me know and I will come on over and give you a hand. I hope the snow does not make it worse and the 2" of rain we are suppose to get tomorrow is no joke either. Let me know. I can help you during the day if you are around on Thursday...
Hello All and Thanks for the comments.. Hey JR everyone is feeling better so we gotta make some time for you to stop over and see the tank. Let me know what works for you. There is no better feeling then having people comment on your tank, so understand how much I appreciate everyone that does...
Welcome aboard! Nice to see someone else getting into the nano area! Looking forward to see your progress. Only advice I will give right now is TAKE YOUR TIME, consider all the modifications before you even put water in it. Remove all sponges, bio balls from the back chambers execept for the one...
Ok, so I am going to post some photo updates along with a new coral that is so special to me. I have been seeking this coral for a long time. It is a transparent branching hammer coral. I hope it remains happy! Enjoy!
