I was told the only tempered glass on my tank is the bottom.
does anyone have the proper drill bit? would like 2" but 1-1/2 would also work.
I can bring the tank to you and will not hold you responsible if it cracks.
I have a fairly new 55 gal. glass tank I was going to use for a sump but I want to keep my external pump. does anyone have one to sell or sell trade? wanted to go about a 55 for a 150 D.T. If not where do I get one? are they hard to make?
I thought I posted this somewhere but I cant find it.
Is there a good holder for duel lines in sump?
I heard the cpr and other one (cant remember) were pretty flimsy. I saw the diy one but wanted one that would be easier to change the sock.
I go into petco to buy dog food and see this very interesting fish. they were calling it a labott wrasse. had some very unusual color dark blue and deep red stripes running width wise down its body. the guy says he never got one in before as I'm watching him open more bags and just dumping them...
I'm going to switch sumps from acrylic wet/dry to 55 glass tank.
I want to keep my external pump but cant drill untempered glass.
has anyone ever run plumbing up and over into tank? I realize I would loose a little flow but my dolphin pump is pretty powerful.
Also wanted to add filter sock with...
only reverse pump that I found looked like too much flow so I used 2 404 mini jets.
connected 1/2 inch tubing to the return then capped of the top of the main tube. drilled a 1/2" hole in it and passed it thru to 1" short of the bottom of tank.
seems to be working great adjusted flow half way on...
I was looking at 2 fixtures. aquatic life t5ho 72" with 8 39w bulbs or current nova pro with 12 39w they both seem to have some type of individual reflectors and I realize I will change out some bulbs. anyone have these? any comments would be appreciated. thank you

I'm making a sump/fuge the first section I figured out. 30" long tank 1st section 6" 2nd fuge thinking 12"? 3rd 12" for return?
do you think this is the best layout? anyone else running a 30" sump/fuge? pros and cons of how you set it up?
actually with the baffles I'd lose 3" in there so I may...
my daughter is looking for a light for her 55 gal planted tank. she buys all these nice plants just to have them die off I thought about hallides but something else should work mabe t5"s 48" tank. what are people using in their planted tanks?
I purchased a 30 gal tank to use as sump/fuge under 75 gal. tank its a bit tall do you think I could cut the floor out without weakening the integrity of the stand?
