I think every tank I've ever owned was previously used. I currently have a 90, 40 and 30 hex in operation. Only one time did I ever have a problem and that was with a 50 gallon tank that was an odd 5 sided flatback. A few years after I bought it, a seam let go. I would be cautious of tanks that...
I'd snatch this up in a heartbeat if it would only fit on my 72 Bowfront.

Sells for over $800 new. Even if you have to buy new bulbs, you'd still make out.
I'm wrestling with this decision now myself as I'm setting up a new tank. It sounds like a bare bottom would be easier to maintain. But, I'd also like to be able to keep wrasses and gobies that need that sandbed. I've always run my tanks with a Jaubert plenum on the bottom and had no algae...
Funny thing is, looking at the phone number, that guy is probably one of my neighbors or he must live within a few miles of me. Too bad I don't have 4 grand laying around for a new tank.
Plus, $800-$1,000 a month to operate it. :o Really? Does it cost that much to run a tank like this?
I have a Berlin Red Sea skimmer I picked up. It has no pump. (Isn't that always the case with these things?) I want to run it off my return pump which has excess capacity. The issue I have is, How do I connect a hose to the skimmers intake nozzle? I can just push the hose over the top of it...
Cheap API pH test kits. Who knows what these thing are actually reading?
Stick on the Glass pH monitoring meters. Once again, who knows what those things are saying?
I nearly had my Cichlid tank go that way, with a brand new heater no less. Thing stuck on and I came downstairs to find my tank at 90 degrees. I was lucky that I went with a minimum wattage heater or I would have had fish soup too. The residents came through OK.
If this is what you have, he's selling frags for $60 now. I've also seen posts where hobbyists are selling frags $15-$20 less than the reeffarmers site.

By the way, I'm interested in buying once you get around to selling.
Beautiful tank. I really hope that when that door opens...the knob misses the tank. :o
That's good placement for those fans. Since you had to put the tank so close to the wall to clear the doorknob, salt and humidity from the tank might have damaged the wall. The fans blowing away from the wall...
I got a rude surprise this weekend. I've been using a Refractometer for months, calibrated per the instructions with RO water. I ordered some pre-made saltwater calibration fluid last week and when I tested my Refractometer with the fluid it read 1.028 instead of the 1.025 it should have - which...
I had so many issues with the swing arm type, I just never trusted what they were telling me. The readings I got depended on how many times I whacked the blade with a straw to knock the bubbles off. A refractometer was one of the best investments I ever made.
....and introducing in this corner Tyson the tank smasher.

I was thinking about a Mantis in a small tank too, until I read this.
Live with it for a day or so.I NEVER like my rocks just after playing with them....uhh, wait...that didn't come out quite right.
It looks great to me. You've got nice hidey holes for the fish and plenty of good surfaces to add more stuff.
The Pirarucu is one of my all time favorite fish. The Fort Worth zoo used to have one that was huge, 7-8 feet long. The scales on them look like their made out of metal.
I haven't checked recently, but Radio Shack used to carry X10 modules. I've bought both lamp modules and the heavy duty appliance modules there. I don't know about X10 Pro, I just use the standard modules for my halloween stuff.
We all are so equipment focused sometimes. Gotta have that new skimmer, Gotta have a refugium, can't live without the latest, greatest ACME super duper water purifying device. "You can't possibly set up a reef tank of any size for under a grand!!!"
...and yet, here is a guy that has an...
I lost several corals over a period of a little over a month and a half. One colony of GSP's that had been very healthy and growing like crazy just closed up overnight and never reopened. A different variety of GSP withered away bit by bit over time. Nothing I did seemed to help. My Torch coral...
