The purr actually is quiet, but my husband's breathing isn't.
He sounds like Darth Vadar. :o
And if he opens his mouth, there is a loud whoosing sound. :o
Maybe he just needs to get used to breathing with it on. Or maybe the machine needs to be adjusted to a lower level. The first 20...
Doug has been having some heart problems again and has been going to the Dr's for the last couple of weeks, failing every test they have given him. :(
He has tested positive for sleep apnea, now has to wear the dreaded machine, ;D which is making for many sleepless nights at our house...
Olivier,
How long have you been soaking their food in garlic? Did you just start or have you been doing it all along?
20 is borderline horrible in my book. If you just started dosing garlic, I would keep doing it and watch them carefully.
If you have been dosing all along, I would remove...
As long as it isn't a horrible case of ick, I would just leave the fish in the display tank and soak their food in Garlic. It definitely boosts their immune system and helps them fight it off.
Now I just soak their food in Garlic once a week and have had no new outbreaks.

As a great food recipe I would suggest Eric Borneman's recipe. It is very easy to make and it is VERY well balanced. Every single inhabitant in your tank, from fish to coral, will enjoy this recipe. If I can't find something I just leave it out or make a substitution. ;D

Happy Mother's Day to all you NJRC moms.
Hope you all had as good a day as I had. ;D
And I hope all you hubbies took extra special care of your wifes today. ;)
She deserves at least one day a year to call her own. ::)
I know, if I could have controlled them, I would have left them alone. :'(
They are beautiful, but as I said before, anything that got in their path, they devoured. >:(
That's what happens when you take pictures during the day and you have huge windows that let in light. ;D
Here's a older picture that shows what they look like. They are a bright green with pink tips. They are like majanos or aiptasia in that they are a weed.
Well, Doug and I finally had enough. We have lost so many different corals by these beautiful but deadly. They literally at up anything in their path. The only thing that could keep it away was my RBTA.
We had thought that we would try using a torch and burning them off, but we had a couple of...
I totally know how you feel. This just happened to me to last month. It was my large Black & White Ocellaris Clownfish. Bummer! I even have eggcrate on top, but it doesn't cover the whole area.
I agree with taking the pictures at the same time at night. Otherwise, as Phyl said, the variable lighting would skew the results.
I would think once or twice a week to take the pics.
Sounds like a good plan, Mike. Remember to take pictures.
I will be starting it tomorrow, after my tank is detuliped. Doug and I tore half of the tank apart yesterday and hopefully we will finish the other half tonight. We are attacking the pink tulip anemones that are destroying my tank. I...
I was wondering if anyone has tried this? I ordered a bottle using the $5 coupon in the thread. I figured we could use it if it doesn't work in the tank. ; )
