I wouldn't worry about that. Not claiming you shouldn't worry, but I wouldn't. Sometimes Mexican turbos will eat the long stuff, but really I'd get in there and remove as much as you can day after day after day. Between yourself and the herbivores you'll get ahead of it.

If you have a biggish tank just add tangs. You may need to do some manual removal. (People tend to not do this) The fish generally don't eat inches of hair algae. You need it kinda trimmed down, I bet once it's manageable the foxface alone will make sure you never see any again again. Don't use...
