Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
I'd try reaching out to the manufacturer. I think in most cases it isn't worth the cost/effort, but it would be interesting to find out from the horses mouth.
And back away far enough for the subject to be in sharp focus. Trying to get to close without a macro lens will not achieve good results. You can always crop a sharp image down. You can't fix blur!
Our maroon clownfish loves to wag in the sand. She had the tank a perpetual sand storm until we siphoned the bulk of the sand out of that area of the tank. She's left it alone since we reduced the sand there, thankfully. We thought we'd have to take it all out to get the storms to stop, so I...
Congrats Taz! Enjoy the new digs and your kids as well!
Erna, that's amazing! Great to see that some still keep in touch. We had a foster child live with us when we were growing up. Just one though... not a hundred!
Happy (belated) father's day, guys!

At 6.5 you'd have corals disintegrting, so I doubt that it is really that low.
If you can verify 6.5 then...
Sam has a solaris and is selling off his tanks. If he's parting with it that might be an answer (though there's a good chance it is only 3'). The one thing that I don't like about the solaris is that you can see the columns of light (because it seems to drop straight down and there are banks of...
Looks fantastic! Keep up the good work. Interesting concept of using one brand of products. Seems like it would be a very well integrated approach. Seems to be working well, if one could judge by the looks!
Sounds like a good plan, Olivier. You can do daily water changes out of your tank and into the QT, topping off with Salt water rather than fresh (and maybe adding/mixing in a pinch of salt into the tank water you use for the changes). This should have your parameters fairly close at the end of...
