Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
well it will get rid of a % yes. you wont get it down to zero by just doing WCs. but you can get it to a reasonable level to start adding things.
to get to 0 youll need a fuge or biopellets or some form of nutrient export, but absolute zero isn't technically needed. just get it lower.
do the change before you put anything in. if you've got nitrates in the 100+ range the inverts aren't going to take to kindly to it.
also start slow with the CUC. if you buy a bunch at once they wont have much to feed on & will just die off.
Do the change, add a fish or 2 & about 1/3 of the...
nothing leaked onto it? I had a slow drip that I didn't notice when I moved my tank & it shorted the PSU out. no problems with my replacement, other than needing to setup a drip loop like I should have done in the first place....
Depends on what you want. if you want an SPS dominant system, you're probably gonna want a second. I run 2x koralia 1050s behind my rockwork to clean up detrius & the WP40 in Wave1 mode on full blast & it's definitely a little bit overkill lol. I also have essentially no sand (less than a 1/2"...
I have 1 WP40 in my 90 and it moves A TON of water. so far I haven't pissed off my LPS with it yet, but im sure if I had LPS anywhere near a direct path of the thing it would destroy them. I wish I had 2xWP25s alternating every 30mins or so.
X2. Dr. Tims is a bacteria product that requires ammonia to survive. I don't see why you cant put Dr. Tims in there & let the bacteria population get nice & strong with the ammonia from the dead shrimp. Most people & the bottle of Dr. Tim's say "you have to put fish in immediately(aka a few...
They are DC driven & can even be given lower power with a variable voltage power supply or an inline LED dimmer or with a controller & a bit of DIY.
The 25 would still be pretty strong for your tank Jose. it pushes between an MP10 & an MP40 so you'd have to dial it down a bit probably unless...
There's a lot of us that keep the smaller tangs (Pblue, Pbrown, bristletooth, yellow etc.) in 4' tanks. usually people in the tang police say 6' is good for them.
I'f you've found a 7' tank by all means go for it! What sizes are you looking at? 84" X ??" X ??"
Always follow the unwritten rule of microsoft OS's since windows 95:
every other one is good or at least tolerable.
8 = garbage
7 = good
vista = garbage
xp = good
Millenium = garbage
98 = good (built off the 95 engine for the most part, only added USB support, multi monitor, & active desktop...
