Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
I think I know the answer to this, but wanted to get a group consensus.
I think it is getting close to me getting back in the game with my 180. I have a fully finished basement with cheap carpet (the house flippers installed it). Should I just place the tank on top of the carpet or should I...
I personally used all dry/base rock. Did not want to take any chances with pests. No matter how closely you inspect the rock...something always comes in.
Good to hear he is getting back on his feet! And family should definitely come first! But, if he doesn't have enough contents coverage then he needs a new insurance agent. Contents coverage standard is 70% of the dwelling coverage.
Not trying to questions anyone, but from what I have been reading, ALL existing state-issued commercial collectors’ permits are now illegal and invalid. The stock right now is probably what is left over at the distributors.
Yup! Homeowner's insurance would cover all physical equipment (tank, sump, skimmer, powerheads, pumps, etc.). This is covered under Section C - Personal Property/Contents. It would not cover livestock.
With the recent heart crushing event that Sunny had to endure as well as my experience with two tanks of my own having seams fail...what does everyone think is behind the failure of tank seams? Is it just that saltwater is so corrosive that it kills the silicone over time? Are manufacturers...
Just due to it being a Tang and they are known carriers of ich, I would wait at least 4 weeks. LLD isn't too bad and I have seen fish in the wild with it. My sailfin tang started showing the disease and I stopped running carbon and it healed.
Absolutely Stunning Sunny! I feel like crying for you! You achieved what many try to achieve. Your tank will be missed!
This does start to beg the question though...Why do the silicone seams fail? It seems like they fail more often than not.
Thanks James...but my tank is still a wreck! Can't beat this cyano! I use red slime remover and it comes back a month or two later....no idea what is going on. Want my big tank back lol.
I agree with you that it is always the same people stepping up. James & I ran Group Buys for years...no one else wanted to help. But I feel that if the "power" is given back to the membership where it belongs, then the members would feel invested and more may or may not step up.
I was approached by a BOD member by PM. It is not my place to ignore that and bring it public.
Why is the answer always, "Then run for the BOD?" Not all of us have the time that it takes to be part of the BOD. I for one know how much time it takes...and I give everyone that does sit on the...
Exactly this....I mentioned this a while back and had a discussion through PM about it. Every organization I have ever been a part of....all decisions came down to the membership. Not the 5-6 board members. If anyone would like to talk about it more, please PM me.
