Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Swords are easy to grow, as long as you have some fish in there to keep the nutrients/CO2 levels (fish poop is a good thing! :)) Assume you're talking about South American cichlids, not African cichlids? African cichlid tank's pH are typically too high for plants.
Agree with DangerDave on longer. Plus, you never know how much dead stuff is on there so a 15 minute vinagar bath isn’t a bad idea to dissolve the outside layer/phosphates off the outer. I just redid my tanks and gave all my rocks a 15 min vinagar bath and you’d be amazed how much stinky stuff...
I know this is a reefing forum, but i know a lot of us still keep freshwater tanks. I have a large melon sword that’s really grown too large for my 60 cube. Free to anyone that wants it. its about 12” wide by 10“ high. Grown under a kessil sun.
Hi everyone, I was a member many years ago, but I’ve been out of the hobby for years. Both of my boys are now in college. Which means 1) I have more free time, and 2) I’m more broke than ever. lol. Anyway, I’m getting getting back into the game and looking to buy some frags to get my tank...
I have a bunch of golf ball sized frags for anyone that wants them. Rearranged the tank and had a little mishap, so I'm giving away the broken off pieces for anyone that wants them. I'm in south Jersey, about 5 miles off exit 4 of the NJT. Thanks.
I broke down my 45 cube last year and still had this skimmer laying around. Works great. Asking $80 or best reasonable offer. Prefer local pickup, but willing to ship at buyers expense. Thanks.
Looking for a couple small/juvenile designer clownfish for my tank. Is there anyone in South Jersey (around the Cherry Hill area) that sells them? Thanks.
After a small departure, I'm just getting back into the hobby. I'm looking for some easy, cheap corals for my tank: xenia, yellow polyps, clove polyps. I'm in South Jersey, near Cherry Hill. Thanks.
I have a 37 gallon tank that I've used for a QT tank. The center brace has been removed. It holds water fine, but it has had copper and other meds in it. Free for anyone that could use it.
I would take a frag in return, but not necessary.
Thanks,
Ray
I'm looking for some pulsing xenia or maybe anthelia (or something similar...you know, the more "disposable" corals). I want to put some in my FOWLR tank. Thanks.
Matt, if you're trying to trap a GSM, just wait a few hours after the lights go out. If it sleeps in an anemone, you should be able to take a container and just scoop it up with container on one side / hand on the other side (I'd suggest rubber gloves). When GSM's are asleep in a neme, they...
