Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
this is how the 75 is currently looking moved over some of the lps/shooms.
would take a photo of the frag tank right now but that looks like a warzone that's on going.
so still alive.. lol sorry for not being so active lately. just been dealing with another bout of AEFW. I swear, these things just keep coming back to me for some god awful reason. I have it under control so just waiting for things to heal up and totally eradicated those ****ers.
i just dont...
I am looking forward to this. the early black boxes were no where near what the current ones are. The best one I've used was one of the very first black boxes that incorporated UV and was still a manual knob to adjust intensity but it grew corals like crazy. never found one with the same layout...
only way to know is dip and then see what falls off. nudis also walk around at night. grab a flashlight at night and see if you can spot any.
I don't think it's pest, more like chemistry issues. just a suggestion too, you might wanna check if you have any magnets rusting out in your tank...
what is your po4 level?
i would focus on stability in the tank. seems like your seeing dips in alk which will affect sps if its consistently happening. the lighting might also be an issue if the 160 is dimmed too low however i find that green slimers are pretty hardy for sps, had one growing...
I 've used helix before and works absolutely well. again requires a tank that can grow the coralline algae but will seed it enough that you'll see growth within the first week or 2. much more noticeable when you start with bone white dry rock
damn i really enjoyed the old school njrc swaps. good times. lmao on your hastags, so true though. sneakerheads and reefers have a lot in common when it comes to the prices. haha
