Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Thats quite a sales pitch.
May I suggest...
Re-creation of a classic, same lines and looks without a price tag to break the bank.
Capable of holding its own in any situation, a true survivor you needn't worry about.
Smart enough to identify, and interact with, owner in an aggressively playful...
Dave,I'm doing just that, dissolving each tsp of kalk in 10-15ml of vinegar then adding to the topoff container. This simple drip system seems to be working well enough, though I have to keep adjusting every night to keep drops at one every 4-5 seconds. May just hook the container to a...
Cool deal, thanks guys (and thanks for the offer Matt, truly appreciated, but don't hurt your frags on my account).
I'll slowly increase with manual 2 part dosing over next week or two then adjust drip to maintain.
Turf algae now under control (thanks to water changes, severe filtration, and Vibrant) and tonight I managed to remove most of the debris.
As many of you know I'm a zoa lover and, unfortunately, lost almost my entire zoa collection (rastas, sunnys, chaos, fruitloops, etc all gone) through...
FYI
Had a bad run of luck with the in and out of hospital over past 6 weeks and tank becam OVERRUN with turf algae.
Corals were being chocked out and the stuff was EVERYWHERE.
Was debating on breaking down as I was dreading any drawn out battle and don't have the will or energy at this point...
Heya D!
I'll grab some nightsky, rastas, and duncans, plus a few interesting sticks of your call.
If you're heading to the Jackson meet I can pick up there, otherwise I can take a ride down your way on Saturday (and continue to try to convince myself I need a house down there).

Media should be in high flow area but doesn't have to be in the highest flow area.
Anywhere in the sump should be fine.
Your cups should only have floss in them.
I run a 110 and have 3 cups filled with floss.
I change the floss every 3 days or so, if I do a lot of scraping or rock blowing, I may...
I drop my media bag in the sump itself.
If you put it in the cup its going to restrict flow.
Keep floss only in the cup, change it every 3 days or so and you'll be golden.
Edit: Do you have a sponge at the bottom of it as well? THat, combined with a media bag will kill any flow.
I have something like 6-7 in my tank. Never see them in the day.
I do find discarded carapaces as they molt and grow, and they look EXACTLY like dead crabs.
At night, if I shine a light around the tank, they're all out, eating, and fighting for rock space.
If you're feeding them, they may well...
Have you named them yet?

They'll make it up through the returns as long as you don't have a sponge in the way (Hi Matt!). My pod population in the sump is considerable and I lose some to the protein skimmer and an in-line reactor on the return. Still get plenty seeding the main though...
Seems 12-18" is average.
I'm running a hybrid fixture of 4 T5s and 3 Hydra 26HDs over a 4' wide 20" deep.
With LEDs alone I'll run it 12", with the T5s I kicked it up to 16".
Was in earlier. Picked up a tube anem, a juvenile snowflake clown, a Randolf's goby, 3 emerald crabs, a beauty of a 3" raspberry acro, and a tuxedo urchin.
With the sale it just cleared $100.
Arr, twas a good fish shoppin day.
