eventually, in my experience, the hanna checkers tubes will develop a film/residue that rinsing out won't really clean. its good to deep clean to get that out so the checker stays accurate

can you link the the citric acid you used? been wanting to deep clean my Hanna checkers too

Alk is a bit high IMO. what angel fish do you have? have you ever caught it nipping at anything? how stable are your parameters? what kind of alk swing do you usually experience? which test kits are you using?
