Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Check the other thread regarding raffle items and orders.
We've got Reef Cleaners and H2oPro corals offering discounts on the vendor front (so far).
I've got raffle donations coming in from Red Sea, Tunze, and a few other companies yet to be named.
Gonna be a big one.
Bump. John at Reefcleaners putting together a deal for us. Details will follow, hopefully tonight. Keep an eye on the top of the page. :)
Also, hopefully, have a few other surprises in the works...
Stack,
Everyone is welcome with girlfriends, boyfriends, spouses, kids. Just drop me a guess at the number coming in the RSVP.
Tyler,
Bring your Dad! Hang for an hour or 6, whatever you like.
RSVP a maybe. I'll be ordering the catering based on definites and maybes, then a bit extra.
Watch this space over next few days, there's a few vendors I'm working with to get us some great deals on group orders to be delivered to the meet (as well as a few raffle items).
Again, party is at 29 Bradley Ave, Brick 08724.
My number is 201-467-1771
Everyone (and family) welcome and hoping...
Heya Mark!
Yeah, this thing had me confused, surprised, and hoping all at once. If I still had my big tanks I would have left with one.
Really a matter of curiosity to me. For the $300 or less they were looking for, it seems they may be on the way to riches, assuming it works.
Curious to see the...
Heh, seems like the three of us need a Fluval forum.
This is tough as there is no space in 1 for mechanical filtration.
With chamber 1 being used for the skimmer, it limits your options.
Cheato growth for phosphate control is not really an option here If you didn't have the skimmer you could...
No. The biofilter media is designed for max surface area internally and externally through porousness. This media has holes and channels small enough that detritus can not collect in it. It acts like live rock.
The ceramic rings are not as porous and lay against each other, creating hollow...
For all the times I've used Chemipure (Blue, Elite, etc...) I don't think its ever outperformed carbon, decent water change, and a shot of Aquarium Water Quality & Conditioners: Special Blend Water Conditioner
Growing Cheato in top section of second chamber of my Evo as well.
Also, I'd advise...
One word...
Nanos
More words...
I have 3 since I gave up my 90. A 25g (IM shallow), a 13g (Fluval Evo), and a 10g (IM Nano). They're great accent pieces, corals are spread amongst them so a crash doesn't kill everything, I have space to shift fish (though its never been necessary), each tank...
Almost like an image of crossed swords over a crown.
Draws focus towards the center with minor props.
Branch jutting forward gives nice depth to center piece.
Most excellent.
Any reliable brand or model.
Nothing too crazy, its for a mess-about tank.
If you have one with a broken float switch I have a few spares that I can repair it with.

I dosed to instruction and all my fish, zoas, snails, and carbs are fine.
I did a big clean post treatment trying to find the deceased fish (didn't), ran a 25% water change to compensate, and decreased my feedings, also took to using a turkey baster to gently blow off the rocks and zoas every...
I had the same problem a few months back with a red cyano outbreak. Was feeding a bit much and had a long light cycle for growth, then had a death in the tank and was unable to recover the corpse. The stuff spread like wildfire, all over the place, don't think there was a surface without it...
No color patterns yet, but it (they) is (are) a beautiful bright orange.
With all the zoas I've been cultivating its testimony to the jawbreakers that everyone who see's my tank initially asks, 'Wow, what is that?', invariably pointing to the jawbreaker, which is behind the rastas, the ice...
