Well, tired of procrastinating. Had the day off. Started at 6:30am with an empty tank. Finished transferring livestock at 11:45pm.
Added 1 purple firefish, 1 juvenile picasso clown, 1 yellow watchman goby, 1 tiger shrimp to the crew. Debating on anthias, flame angel, or melanurus wrassse as...
Thanks for the advice all. Think I'll go with a male melanarus, a juvenile clown, and a yellow goby/pistol shrimp combo.
I was under the impression that with a Tang and a Clown it would be best to introduce any new fish during the changeover. Is that not a good idea?
Hi all. Tank is coming together. Planning on doing some livestock switchovers on Wednesday and could use some help.
Question 1:
I was planning on just catching fish in current tank, placing each (individually) in 1/2 gallon plastic containers, floating containers in new tank while acclimating...

Please keep in mind this guide is written for 70-90g tanks. You may have to upscale a bit for a larger system. I'm unsure if it would work...
Heya Art,
I make my own once in a while. I have a small blackworm 'farm' in a 5g tank, so that's the mainstay of my tank the past couple of months.
I just made some supplemental food as well. I get a months worth of high quality stuff for $4 or so. I try not to make too much to avoid freezer...
Need to fund a new return pump and a larger skimmer, so...
40b brand new, still has stickers $30
15g with metal stand (nice for nano or species tank) $20
20g long and a 10g $10
Look into Life Rock as well. Its man made and pre seeded. You just put it in the tank while cycling. I used 40 pounds of it along with 20-30 pound of dry rock and it works very well. Currently cycling some now for a new build.
Sound like you've got a wealth of freshwater experience and...
