I've been looking for a way to sex Paracanthurus hepatus but everything says there is no known way to do such. We've had a "pair" of Hippos since they were tiny about the size of a quarter. They are starting to get bigger as no other tangs are with them now and i would like to be able to tell...
i tied Ap. X again last night and then followed up with boiling water.. some Majanoes seem to be gone mostly the ones i scraped off.. the Ap. that was there i do not see at the moment. I'm curious to try Joes juice and the Lye Method. a handful of the Majanoes are right next to my ZBlue Polyp...
useing Redsea salt right now and not impressed.. Used the Redsea Coral pro and liked it. also like IO when i started out.. I just bought some Reef Crystals to try
im glad to see that your first clutch which was tiny compared to the actual eggs laid is so far successful. i've read alot about people trying to raise the fry and the more mouths to feed seems to increase the mortality drastically. keep up the good work :)
I happened to just read an article about Montipora/stony corals in the Butterfly issue of CORAL 5 mins ago and they suggested 150 for your size as 250 would be too much. 24Deep is perfect for 250's IMO.
look at the Voltmeter in the Dash.. If it's not reading around the 14volt mark your alt is shot.. but get the battery checked at Advance auto or Napa for free .. i mean it is an older battery
Im against Oolite which is the fine grain sand.. I used fiji Pink with some Bahama sand mixed in on the 120.. I had a Diamond sleeper goby in the 220 with the oolite and clouds would com from his gills and coat everything. no problem with the fiji pink and a mp40 (plenty of return flow also)
