No. Think about it. The return pump is pushing less water to the display because it is now going though the UV. The head pressure is low. That means that the DT should have lower water level than before. If that is true maybe, you are at a point where you are not draining fast enough to the sump.

Adding the UV is adding extra back pressure on the return pump?

Paul I might have a spare tube laying around, will have to look. Give me a day in case the caveman technique does not work ;)

Did you prime it? It takes a while to take the liquid in and then out.

Update Happy to report that my frag tank is completely cyano free :dance: Just 5 tablespoon full of rowaphos for 4 weeks and it is all gone. On the other side some of my corals are pissed. Stopped rowa and will watch for next 4 weeks how it goes. Sunny
