Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
I will do an acrylic demo but I was hoping to do that at my meeting. I know May is pretty far away but:
•I want to get better at it before the demo
•I have all my stuff here
•I'm hoping it will "draw" people to this end of the world. ***way*** south (in fact, so far south, I should have my own...
Is there such a thing as a pure white acro? It really doesn't appear to have any flesh at all. Could be the picture color is way off and confusing the heck out of me.
I have a 1 1/2" true union transparent check-valve on my return pump but its only there as a convenience to prevent the backwash through the pump churning up the detritus in the return chamber only to be pumped into the display when I restart the pump, not a necessity. I think I got it from...
I think I cooked mine ::)

1/4" is plenty thick enough for a 15g sump.
Mine is 60g made w/14". You just have to construct it properly. Go to www.melevesreef.com and you will find all the information you need. Also there are many threads on RC about acrylic. Good luck.
my fuge is integrated into my sump and is gravity fed from the overflow plumbing and gravity discharges over a wall into a chamber with the return pump.
The plumbing has been modified a little since installation.
