I love that "Anti-Theft Device"! I often wonder how many would-be-car-thieves (from nearby Newark and Irvington) have bypassed either my, or my wife's, or my sons' cars because they realized they didn't know how to drive them away!

A few times when I've stayed in European B&Bs we've had AC via a hand held controller for a unit that was long, a few inches deep any maybe 8-to-10 inches high, and was mounted on a wall near the ceiling. I don't think they were connected to the outside environment. I have no idea what...
I think even well made chillers have a short life expectancy. Ever seen a used one for sale that wasn't rusty?
A small window air conditioner might serve you better - at least you'll be cool working on the tanks...
