no worries. its good stuff, i originally got it from a farm in florida. completely sterile and i've kept it that way. I've also stored it 5+ months in 30-40 degree temp. we're going to try to get down your way in the next week or two. waiting for things to settle out in the tank.
mine is even worse 100w nicrew. but i measured 350 par where i placed the sps. but its a crap light with no controller so i have to play with it all day and most of the day it doesnt get the 350, just for 4 hours.
i start with 0% whites, 50% blues, go to 100% blues after like 30-60 minutes...
picked up a couple of frags, fish and macro algae! definitely worth the trip to ryan's if you are looking for something, he's got a very nice set up and some great deals as well. the two frags i got are very well encrusted and look super healthy!
thank you buddy!

cleaned the tank glass. (2 weeks since)
Wavemaker: removed jvp120 AC wavemaker and replaced with slw20 DC wavemaker. (100% speed, 100% fast, W2 setting.
100w Nicrew: turned blues up to 100% from 80% turned whites up to 60% from 0%
moved light fixture towards back about 4 inches...
depends on your tank. really. some benefits is providing food for things like copepods, some starfish and all clams and filter feeders. really i think the phytoplankton is not necessary for most tanks but if you have ULN tank then its great because it will raise your nitrates and phos.
