we were going to pull it but had too much going on and just left it in. i may do a short pull in the spring, idk. this is actually my wife's sailboat, all of my boats are on the hard right now. we are on a lagoon but we are the first house, so i haven't seen it freeze over yet, but i'll just go...
morning guys. everything AOK on my side. the spring lines on the boat snapped and there is minimal damage to both boat and dock. very crazy one yesterday. fish swimming around like nothing happened.
we rarely get snow here and if anything it's a dusting. one of my neighbors continually tells me that we do get a lot of snow but I've yet to see it. I installed this the first year I moved in just in case our electric heat gets cut out. just started it up to see if still working and looks good.
Whose ready for the storm!?!? I hope everybody's fishys will be safe.
I still have a few more hatches to batten down but my son and I are getting ready. I think the real fun starts at 2pm for us.
finally picked ours up yesterday. on our way back from tsm. picked up these clowns. Met a really nice reefer about a year ago over in Beachwood, stopped at his house and he gave me 2 rainbow and 1 red Sherman anemones, a leather the size of my fist and a few frags including a very nice metallic...
if I want to buy a cheap fish locally, I just put it in a tank and drop a black mollie in. if no ich in 7 days it's ready to go. I will also do a GC treatment using the calculator on humble.fish
I'd also do a formalin bath if it was chromis or some other damsel
they do a formalin bath, 3 rounds of prazi, internal deworming, 30 days of copper and additional observation. any dead fish are scraped to determine death.
I purchased a tomato clown that developed lymph after qt. he notified me before pick up and I swapped for a pair of spotcinctus clowns...
yep agreed particularly when in a smaller tank. never had any of them jump in 75g+ even with way overstocked fish also had them jump out of small qt tanks when hosted with other fish or alone.
