first time for me too, i guess we'll see but i've run across a handful of individuals that say it works. cuprisorb is made by seachem, probably my favorite chemical company in the hobby, it states that that it will remove copper and heavy metals from substrate and the resin is rechargeable...
super interesting questions. my last tank was live rock and never had an ich problem. did have a couple of waste away fishes though. i would have probably kept all that rock going if it werent for the invasive sponges. i still have that rock in a 55 going fallow
i cancelled the refugium on my current build because i didnt want it in the sump. i thought about chaeto reactor, sulfur denitrator and algae scrubber. i decided to go with carbon dosing. havent bought the doser yet but might be the least painful way to address nitrates.
i have a 79" piece of 3/4 pvc you are welcome to. pick up is lacey nj.

i agree with all those things. so lets just agree my tank move wasnt perfect for different reasons, but the best thing to do for my fish at this point is get the fish medicated and move on. as far as removing copper from tank and rock (i dont have sand), that is done with cuprisorb. i dont...
