Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
I’m no pro, but I do have everything plugged into my apex so I can get the usage report. My entire system supporting a 160 gallon display and 45 gallon sump runs about $33 a month. I expect it to go down once the temps come up (it’s in the garage).

Ok I get what you’re saying now. That’s a great idea, I never thought to do that. I’m keeping my check valve, it always performs well and it’s already plumbed in anyway.
Understood, but what would happen in the case of a power outage when you're not there? It depends on the set up. Without the check valve, my display would drain a few more inches from my return lines, and overflow my sump. I have to have it there, or I have to get a bigger sump. Which isn't...
The one @trio91 linked works great. No springs, it's activated by flow. It's a bit expensive for what it is, but worth every penny in my mind. Just being able to disassemble and clean is worth it's weight in coral :) (I haven't had to do this yet, it's been about 6 months)
@Junk2 - Looking back at the posts, I think there is some confusion on your request. You are talking about the plumbing coming from your return pump to the aquarium correct?
I have two AP700s. They are a great light. Aside from management, it’s perfect. The Kessil logic is great, and makes sure that any coloration you choose keeps the spectrum of light the corals need.
I do not like that I need to be on my network to manage them. They are not manageable...
I’ve read about micro scrubbing. Have you tried it? Any experience you have could be helpful for the OP (and me :), it’s a inexpensive option to try...
