I thought it might be easier to start a new post. I've been reading a bit on the tunze that skimmer would fit right in the slot where my other skimmer is(which is horrible) profile is really small how are people liking these and what else do you need to purchase to get em up and running...

actually easier but I got my flow from the plumming I did I guess power heads would do it also. no filters to clean and change just a sponge.

Is that the pump I see? goes into bottom of sump and hooks up to where. sorry I dont know anything about this skimmer just heard it was good. anyone have instruction sheet for this skimmer? sinking beach do you have room to disconnect and clean that thing?

does the unit have to be elevated from the sump how is this possible under main tank with all the plumbing under there? is there another way?

Phyl I have a crawl space I would love to move everything to a basement if I had one thats where I would set it from the start. I may be able to squeek it next to sump.

how about mr2 can I hook this up farther from the tank or is that stupid. (just looking for more room)

I just purchased some do you use pro coral cure or iodine to treat before putting in main tank? or mix both.

my blenny was in way before kole tang and he still is bothering blenny. good flow and no dead spots really makes the difference.of course w/o rodi wont matter how much flow you have.

running maxi from res. question is what type of line will fit on end of maxi to pump water over to my sump?

I hooked up top off today runs perfect now to run the water lines. I'm using a maxijet 1200. what do you use to hook up ro line to the output or do you just put it in the venturi part of the pump? wont get full pressure this way but it would probably work. have to transition down.
