I just get gallons of DI from target, I use about 10 gallons a month and may not be practical for larger tanks, but my acros are good as long as I don’t do anything stupid, so probably good enough as far as purity goes.

I like AFR and Kalkwasser combo, like others say, AFR is expensive, so kalkwasser is a good companion for cost management and as a pH enhancer. I think a small amount of AFR with kalkwasser maxed out to close to evaporation rate then up your AFR is a pretty good strategy, at least works great...

All to realize that wasn’t the tree causing the problem, but merely one with the same timing as the real culprits!

Treatment is officially in flight, mixed up half a capsule in some tank water (2x treatment as allowed per the label) for treating the 2.5 gallon tank volume. Did a decent 30% water change prior and removed GFO. From what I have read, GFO can be reintroduced after 3-4 days to keep phosphates...
