Today I witnessed my long spined sea urchin eating the carcass of my diseased engineer goby. The death of the goby came as no surprise to me. I have been noticed it acting strange and not eating as usual. What did surprise me was finding the sea urchin eating the corpse. Even after pulling it...
I hate to say this but I am glad they are your brain cells and not mine this time. LOL. Love that thermometer. Looks like it came out of a boiler room.
Am I missing something? I can't see it.
I had the same issue with those Corallife thermometers. They are horrible. I also tried the Pinpoint wireless thermometer and I didn't like them. They were way off as well.
Now I use the temp probes on my Apex. I have checked them with multiple...
I have read that PHA pellets are the best as well. How do you know which ones are made with the natural PHA?
The rice thing actually makes sense. Corn products may work as well. Maybe grits. I wonder how you keep it from turning to total mush.

I would use two smaller heaters rather than one large one for...
I have a similar sized system as you. I run one external return pump. I have two large power heads in the DT. I use gravity to feed my reactors and my skimmer. My skimmer has two aquabee pumps on it. I have an air conditioner running in the room 24/7. I use two Ebo Jager 250 watt heaters. I...
+1. That is why seeing a picture was helpful. Kalk paste never seems to work 100% for me. I would go the way of capping the hole with some kind of epoxy or super glue in your case. I hope you didn't take offense with my post. It was trying to have some fun with it.
