I used to be able to force my BTA to split by bringing the temp down then back up (power outage would reset the clock on my old aqua controller to a different season, then I'd set it back). No real harm done. Good luck!

I recently fought dinos and won... Mostly by no lighting for several days. Control your pH. Coral will handle that, dinos die. I'm haven't tried hydrogen peroxide. It gets suggested as a cure for so many things, it's either magic-awesome or a placebo. I don't understand why it would selectively...

A friend of mine did, using an Apple Airport Express. It worked fine, though he isn't that tech savvy so he had trouble keeping it running after power outages, etc. he ended up hard-wiring through a wall.
