We have a 55g fuge on our system (fairly large) and still run a phosban reactor. Chaeto isn't going to get PO4 to zero. Not required for shrooms & zoas, but LPS/SPS will thank you with better growth.

Your salinity is ok where it is, so I wouldn't stress about having to move it higher. Either through evap (replacing evap with salted water) or by making your change water 1.026 and letting it get there slowly that way.

I think the "ever present" misnomer is because it isn't just FISH you need to quarentine. You also need to QT any coral/snail/hermit/etc that has been with fish in the last 6 to 8 weeks. And QTing the fish doesn't guarntee they don't bring ICH into your system. You actually have to TREAT the...
