They will coexist, and grow around each other. I don't know that they will "merge" necessarily (were they from the same exact species, etc), but they will grow around each other. Same if you put digi into the mix. The monti species will all intergrow.

I've moved mine. BUT I keep a shallow (you've seen it) sand bed, with lots of blowing around. * Moved 30 to 65, including sand * Moved 120 to 180, including sand Both tanks were "young" when the sand got moved. The 30 was less than a year old and the 120 was less than 4 years old. I believe...

32$/5#... not too bad, all things considered with this hobby. KatiAni has a product that's been in use over seas for quite a while that removes PO4/Trate from the running system. Bruce will be speaking a bit about KatiAni at the meeting this weekend. Hopefully he'll shed some light on that as well.

I'd start with water changes. 20% every few days until the trates are down. That should help. I find that I'm more likely to get HA when I don't have enough clean up crew in the tank.

Does it fit on the stand you built, or did you have to build a new one? Any pictures of the setup?
