Bluestravlr had one and LOVED it. He was really happy with it I don't have any personal experience with them, but did consider one before we picked up our MRC. Couldn't get enough feedback on them to go that route when we were purchasing.

Actually, if we did ANYTHING, it was adjust the lighting. We turned all lights off after the burn was realized. We left them off for the rest of the night. The following two days were actinics only. We added the 400s in on day 3, if I remember correctly and then it was another couple of days...

We've been talking about a trip to the aquarium, we just need to arrange the particulars. That would likely be in addition to our regular meeting schedule, rather than in place of. We certainly wouldn't use it to replace a North meeting (unless we'd exhausted all other options).

Andy (NJReefGeek) offered to host the November meeting while we were at Billy's this weekend. We only need a north host for July (a great time to be outdoors).

They'll burn themselves out. I wouldn't worry about diminishing the light during this period. If you do choose to run less halides, I'd vary which one I'd run (L1 Thur, L2 Fri, L3 Sat, ... ) so that they all get their day in the sun. :)
