Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Going the chemical route is overkill.. Cyano is a natural part of the cycling/ugly stage.. it's usually a sign of an imbalance, whether it be nutrients or bacteria.. tons of people use chemiclean, i'm just suggesting to apply some patience first and try waiting it out before dropping the hammer
i wouldnt jump to chemiclean.. best to let it settle out naturally. blow it off during water change, lower your phosphate, maybe increase flow a bit to affected areas
I tried this Starbong CA thick glue gel recently.. I'm not a fan. It was not as thick as the BRS extra thick, being too watery/runny.
I tried the BRS glue too, having bought a big bottle of it, unfortunately because I don't use it that often, the caps it came with started hardening and became...
For LPS, it's easy to identify how much flow they want. I find that torches can tolerate more than others like hammers, frogspawns etc.
What you're looking for is for it to be puffed up and have a bit of sway on the tentacles
do you feel like it helps more with phosphates? i struggle to keep my phosphates down despite not even using things like reefroids. only feeding pellets and occassionally mysis
pH is generally "fine" if your house isnt overly crowded. Depending on your coral load, to buff up the pH, I would suggest looking into Kalk dosing as a first step. It'll help balance your alk/calc elements
Are you dosing Kalk? At one point, my pH was going too high between the kalk and co2 scrubbing. I've stopped the co2 scrubbing when my pH was hitting 8.6 peak
Dont quote me, but if you daisy chain too many, it may impact the performance of the skimmer since it needs to suck in air to operate.. not sure what the additional pressure would do to the skimmer
I’ve got a rock with a green monti, a small colony of rastas, and an eclectus mushroom.
Don’t really have a price in mind, open to trades, cash, equipment, etc.
