During the fallow period, my nutrients bottomed out and i ended up with Coolia dinos. (one thing after the other i swear). Stopped doing water changes and ghost feeding like crazy but nothing was helping. Sand bed was overrun by dinos, rocks taken over by GHA and what I would imagine was...
After that, i did 80 day fallow period. Then out of nowhere, my male clown died followed by the female a week later. No idea what happened.
Then one day i came home from work to find my longboard hawkfish on the ground. (somehow found an opening through the glass lid in the QT)
So as you all know, i had an inch outbreak.
My stocking consisted of:
2 clowns(wyoming & snowflake), lawnmower Blennie, Yellow Coris Wrasse, Royal Flasher Wrasse, longboard hawkfish and a baby foxface (he brought the inch)
Foxface died to icy first.
Royal Flasher died the second I attempted to...
Excuse the grossness (trying to "dirty" my tank so haven't been cleaning it). But this is how I set mine. Same problem as you with the bulkheads too close. I used a cheap dremmel from harbor freight to basically grind down the sides of the bulkheads that were touching

So I just started culturing phyto and just wanted to share my results. I just harvested. Gonna clean everything out and restart the culture. It's a lot more than what I know what to do with but i really enjoy it
I've seen some people have some good luck with them. I've only purchased 4 fish from them. 2 of them didn't even make it home. 1 didn't last the night and 1 is still alive today. They didn't look good when I picked them up. Wasn't able to check since it was the beginning of COVID and it was...
It's absolutely insane. It sucks because I understand that on their side, they need to make more because of the hit these companies took because of COVID, but at the same time, a lot of people also took a hit on their job so they're also short on money. So you want to support these businesses...
So I went to several fish stores today and i noticed a few had priced marked up like crazy. Yellow tangs going from $110-$150, tomini kole and blue tangs from $70-$100, midas blenny $60-$80, yellow coris $50-$80 along with other way overpriced fish.
Does anyone know what's going on with these...
