I bought a 400 Watt power inverter from Home Depot. I used it once during a 4-5 hours outage. I connected it directly to the car battery, ran extension cords and I was able to run heater, PH's and 1 return pump. Best thing I could have ever bought!!

Some good news....I wasn't able to find the other antibiotic, but I started a second course of the Maracyn 2 4 days ago. The goby is swimming around more and even though he is really skinny he is eating more and more everyday. He may pull through. He's evening perching on the glass again!

I bought 100 Micron socks not to long ago and no I am cleaning them every 2 days....It's ridiculous!! I just ordered 200 micron socks...hopefully they will last longer.

New update: I just cleaned my skimmer collection cup for the first time in about a week!! I don't skim wet. The gunk built up on the sides of the uptake tube into the cup was incredibly thick, to the point that I could have used it as paint. The more wet skimmate was darker than usual too. When...

Have you tested your Magnesium levels?? Magnesium is needed due to some crazy chemical reaction that allows the tank to hold on to your alk and allow it to rise and stabilize.

Stupid question....Will a 100 Micron filter sock filter out more or less than a 200 Micron sock??
