    Live rock covered in Aiptasia...

Lots of people do it. I've done it plenty times myself. I only took out 1 rock every 2 days and put it right back in. Did this repetedly till I had all new rock. Never a change in my testings.

    Bulb height

Welcome to NJRC. You measure from the top of the water to the bulb. I like mine 8 to 12 inches away. Any closer, I get salt spray on the bulbs.

72g Bow Front Reef Project - Freshwater to Saltwater Conversion

Welcome to NJRC. Looks like a good plan. What kind of corals do you plan on keeping? If you plan on keeping SPS's (hard corals) then I would recommend a Kalk and Calcium reactor. If not then you can use two part solutions as needed. I wouldn't buy a thermometer. Their not accurate.

Donate to school tank: East Side H.S. Newark, NJ 07105

I have some mesh and acrylic covers I had made for my tanks. I don't use them. Maybe one of your students can do a DIY on them to make them fit your tank. I have 2 5gallon water jugs that we use to carry water in. It might be a little eaiser to carry them since they have a handle on them. I'm...

Do you make the water a few days ahead of time and aerate the water with a power head? Do you have extra 5 gallon buckets for...

    Moving questions

If you don't have a new tank setup at the new house, put all livestock and rocks in rubbermaids, move tank to new home. When moving tank, try to leave as much water in it as possible as not to disturb the sandbed too much. Keep a PH and heater in rubbermaids. Let water in tank settle down a bit...
