what brand reactor? You may be able to mod it and put a probe port or they may make a replacement lid with one.

    BLOWN BALLAST

I'd suggest (only if the fixture isn't under warranty) opening the fixture and seeing what brand ballast is in there also check to see if there is a fuse on the ballast (some do) and it could be something as simple as just changing a fuse

Phyl, Yes TFJ carries them and I believe they are in stock. Reefernets, If you got a Advance ballast it's the same one that Sunlight Supply Tek lights use in their fixtures and retros.

re: lights - same question asked many times

Still wounld't fit, remember I have a 80gal bow which is the same footprint ;) the most you'd be able to fit would be 4X54 and maybe 1X24 unless by some strange chance your able to find the Tek 1 reflectors then you might be able to fit a 39w

re: lights - same question asked many times

A Tek light would be better but with a 6X54 he'd need the fixture then he could use the legs or hang it, The current 6X54 fixture he would have to hang cause the legs that support the light are on the corners of the fixture so they wouldn't rest on the rim in the front of the tank, the Tek ready...

    Return pump recomendation

The srew cap, fill the pipe with water put the cap back on and then it will prime it's self. Genx uses the least energy out of all of them and is pretty quiet.

re: lights - same question asked many times

the only problem your going to have with the 72 gallon bow is it's narrow at the sides, the most you'll be able to fit is a 6X54 fixture and you will still have some overhang on the sides, if you use a canopy the most you can fit would be 4X54. The 8X54 you will have a lot of overhang and will...

    Return pump recomendation

Go with a genx 40 or 50 lower wattage than other pumps and has a high head rateing. if your sump isn't drilled you can use it over the rim method. I have mine plumbed that way and been using it over a year with no problems, it's also plumbed from the basement to the 1st floor this way, which is...

Need to borrow a 6' auger Toms River area

The toilet overflowed so did the usual plunger thing no luck, I have a 4' auger and after using it I got the toilet to flush but extremely slow with no power behind it, that's how I know whatever is in there (might be the rubber fish that used to be on the tank lid ::) ) was pushed further into...

Need to borrow a 6' auger Toms River area

A auger is for toilets, pulling the toilet is not going to be a option for me hence the need of a 6' or longer auger. I can tell it's past the trap and stuck somewhere in the line, it's about 4.5' from the bottom of the toilet to the 4" main of the house but there is a couple of bends on the 3"...

    New Lights Need help

If you want to see a tank in person with radiums, I believe Stan (smcooler) still runs them, he has the best tank in the state so even if he doesn't it's worth the trip to see his tank and maybe pick up some frags ;)

    New Lights Need help

If you want blue then a 20k might be more to your liking, radiums are good, XM's are so so. With the 12k you shouldn't see any yellow more of a white/blue
