Howdy,
My fish tank is becoming more mature and it's using more and more alk. I've been testing weekly and it's on a decline. Back in November it was 8.6 dkh now it's around 7.2 dkh and my tank is visually not looking what it was the last couple months.
It's a 30 gallon AIO tank.
I will be trying this after christmas or even Monday as I'm getting some new fish.. would you suggest against feeding medicated food for internal parasites during this all?
They're always fat and fully extended - my initial post was before I read further about their reproduction and confirmed that they don't need two or anything to reproduce. It's just odd how in 3 months they have not reproduced once.
Howdy,
I've fragged some zoas months ago and they're very extended and look great in my frag tank however, they've not reproduced another polyp once yet... ?
Got out of work early on Tuesday and ran to Petco to get a few more inverts
Got two emerald crabs which are HOUSING the turf or hair algae
3 black margherita snails
1 Scarlett red hermit
I keep moving my astrea onto my tiny frag rag where all my frags are currently and they keep the frags...
I believe it's turf algae and not GHA.
I'm getting a skimmer for my birthday December 23rd so that'll help exporting nutrients. My thought with growing macro algae is that it'll eat my already non existent nitrates.
I've been feeding much more than normal and I'll be reducing lights...
Any suggestions on how to export the nutrients ? More frequent water changes ? Only reason I don't do more frequent is because I'm trying to get the nitrates up
