Will do, the tanks setup already just move random corals over little by little. The biocube will stay running in brick as my qt tank. Anything can grow in that tank.
I would also suggest a cleanup crew. If they are blue and or scarlet hermits they won’t choose corals over algea unless they are starving. And I don’t think they will starve in that tank. Astreas, nerites and a few giant Mexican turbos if you want, doesn’t seem to be many small sps frags in...
Your tank is sustaining itself now with the sand bed, if you remove some over the weeks the tank will have to adjust to the tank with less sand, so I think you would be unbalancing it every time you removed sand.
Here were a few more corals I moved over. All of these corals were banished to caves in my biocube because there wasn’t any space for them. They were around 75 to 100 par. I think they should like seeing the sun now in this tank.
Stopped by reefco yesterday to pickup a few things. Can’t say enough good things about Brian. With the tank build he has been there with quick responses with questions and anything I needed. I picked up a pair of bangai cardinals to help add to the waste for my rocks. Also picked up some...
Tested my phosphates today on the new tank that had all dry never used marco rock. Some people say that it leaches phosphates, I hope it hurries hah because phopahates are zip been feeding my three chromis extra heavy to keep the algeas growing. The favia that I threw in that was almost dead is...
Yikes yeah something isn’t right, like Eric asked if you had a dosing unit for your two part. It’s an essential tool even if you don’t have a big uptake yet.
Probably best to do an icp test from there and post the results in here. When I transfer stuff and setup new tanks untill I see coraline starting to sprout and become thick I wouldn’t attempt to move sps over. There’s something limiting coraline then it will limit coral. I have two urchins in a...
I know your tanks been up for awhile now, but what kind of rock did you start out with and have you ever dosed anything to the tank to remove something else like algea?
