Drill a small hole on the return just below the water level of the tank. This will create a vacume break. Check hole monthly cause they clog up sometimes.
Not sure on CPR's.
I would bring the bulkhead to make sure you get the right size. A pool supply place should have what you're looking for...
Ed. If you're dc8 is pluged into a GFCI, the GFCI could be too weak. Sometimes they come brand new weak. Try pluging it in direct and see what happens.
Brian. It is not needed if you remember that the PH reading is incorrect when it's hooked up to you're PC.
Yes, you can program the ACJR with the PC. I couldn't imagine trying to program it on the little display on the AC. Plus you can keep a graph running showing you're PH and Heat changes. I never knew how the heat changed in my tank when I wasn't home till I read the graph. It fluctuate 5 degrees...
Thanks Bill. I forgot to add that the 4 outlets won't be switched. You can pick up the adaptor for the serial cable to convert it over to male at a PC store.
Did you get the PC cable also? If so ,you'll need an isolator. Works great especially the feed cycle. It turns off the power heads. You can daisy chain either up via phone wire and change the pin settings. I'm running 3 250watt MH, VHO's 2 heaters, 1/3 hp chiller, vortec pump, seio 2500 pump, and...
I just love the clarity in Andy's and Disney's tank and who ever else's that use it. I'm afraid, so thats why I'm trying to learn everything before I make the plunge.
I think I'll stick to building houses and pay someone to set me up. Every time I read about it, I go 1 step backwards. I liked reefing 30 years ago better where there wasn't all this fancy equiptment. I bought a calc. reactor and all accer. about 4 months ago, and their still sitting here in the...
Does it matter if you get a bigger unit?
The only things needed for set up are? Ozone generator, Orp meter, orp controller, and extra tubing? Do I need pumps or anything? Does it hafta run thru a skimmer? What are my other options? Thanks for you're help.
Mike
Looking good. You read my mind. Last year I bought 100 lbs. of live rock covered in hair algae. I loved it. Made my tank look like a natural reef, without scuba diving. Needless to say, it all disapered in a few months. I was bummed.
