Action was $225 or Best Offer, which is less than HALF of a new unit.
It looks new unused in the auction photos and is unused upon arrival. NEW? Not so much.
Paid $175.00
Plus $60 shipping and another $15+ in Taxes on ebay.
I just sent pictures to the seller via eBay.
I did not include all the...
Hello All,
I purchased a used Red Sea s500 over a year ago.
While the electronics drawer is cool, the design allows for potential water damage when the drawer is exposed.
This is probably what happened prior to my ownership. Some of the outlets or switches weren't working properly.
Was just...
You may have had them but seems to be two versions. Some are little, like the thickness of Sea urchin needles, the others.muxh thicker. Both pit out a mucus thread like netting when food or suspended material is in the water column. This mucus is what causes he coral irritation.
I personally...
Yes. That was a huge day of raffles.
Won one of Ray's anemone, the duncan colony, a Battle Coral Seasons Greetings, a small Jason Fox burning banana, OH and one of Marcus' Corky Gorgonia. While they havent grown as awesome as his are in his tank, They have attached to the rockwork and are part...
Did my 30 gallon water change and tested.

I was using Reef Crystals and testing with an older Hanna tester. Kept saying I was a little below 8, so was dosing.
During BRS fan appreciation week at Thanksgiving I bought a NEW Hanna Tester. Came and tested my display. 16.2dkh.
Ahhhhhh
SO did a 30 gallon change with fresh salt. 15.8. Another...
RIGHT there with you Foxchase. I have to doze 7ml a day to maintain 8.8. BUT in a week that created a seesaw, so rather dose. And my corals thank me!
I guess its the same for us. Sure you could have one huge meal on Sunday. And eat enough to survive the rest of the week, but having 3 smaller...
Is that one from the February meeting in the snow. He had a Clam Fest. Everyone got one that day. I felt left out and traded for one a couple days later it was basically dead when I got it. Not pearl white.
If I had a beach house, I would certainly invest in a long hose and pump instead of paying a premium for clean boxed salt. BUT just the drive to pick up said salt would make it less practical for me.
The other thing is if I needed to do a large water change, maybe that drive is not possible...
I havent seen my coral banded shrimp in a while which is kinda crazy cause he was HUGE. But have noticed more and more bristle worms. I may go see if I see him now. Did have him for a few years. May have just been his time.
Than again, I have a harlequinn I wanted to add but was afraid he would...
people always talk bad about aiptasia.
They are relatively easy to treat, and lots of options.
My PEST chart: Toughest to easiest time I had: #1The Vermatid Snails (Ongoing), Montipora Nudis- (LOTS of dipping and dipping and scrubbing- Arrrr), and #3. Bristle worms (Ongoing), #4. Asterina (my...
I had seen someone take a shrimp or something and wrapped in a netting material and all the bristle worms came out to feed on it and they just pulled the entire net out with tons of worms caught in and on the betting.
